Behringer Connections

Behringer Connections

Use only the 3 pin XLR balanced input of the Behringer mixer for your microphones. All of our PR Series microphones have a balanced 3 pin XLR output which will connect to the mixer with a 3 pin male to 3 pin female XLR cable. If you have our Goldline, HM-10 or any of our 4 pin XLR mics which have unbalanced outputs, you will remove the 8 pin connector from its cable (the connector that was used to plug straight into the radio) and replace it with a 3 pin balanced input. Don’t forget the pin1 to pin 3 jumper.

To connect the mixer out to the transceiver mic input use our CC-1 cable. Remove the 4 pin XLR and replacewith a 1/4” phone plug, as shown. Set the pan pots to LEFT and use the LEFT output to drive the transceiver.

A good starting point would be to set the bass at about 10 o’clock, the mic at about 2 o’clock and the highs at about 2 o’clock. The highs are not going to be very eective, but it does have some harmonic value. Set the input control at about 2 o’clock. Set the level control at about 2 o’clock and the main mix out will be your mic gain. Adjust the microphone gain of the transceiver to about 9 or 10 o’clock.
