The Basics

The "Gold Standard" Studio Microphone for Amateur Radio

The GM V (Vintage) is a unique, innovative microphone renowned for its gorgeous audio production. It's crystal clear response made it an instant best-seller, and it is the microphone of choice in thousands of Ham shacks around the world today.

The GM V includes the Heil-exclusive "Light Touch" PTT switch, and is encased in a beautifully-finished high-gloss black lacquer enclosure. The GM V is fitted with a 4-pin XLR connector compatible with the Heil CC-1 Series of adapter cables. The GM V is shipped with a windscreen and microphone clip. The optional SM-1 Shock Mount is a popular accessory for the GM V, as it suppresses vibrations that can be picked up from accessories like amplifier or computer fans, etc.

The GM V Microphone has been designed for full-range articulate SSB audio. Specifically when used with a high impedance input, usually tube type vintage equipment (Collins, Central Electronics, Hallicrafters, etc.)

The GM V is not for use with iCOM rigs.
